Guam is where I grew up

I grew up in the U.S. territory of Guam, which is in the Pacific Ocean. I am Chamorro. The culture has experienced its ups and downs. Needless to say, we are very proud of our Pacific-Island heritage. I am a U.S. citizen by birth. The U.S. dollar is the popular currency in Guam. The island attracts many Asian tourists -- especially Japanese travelers and vacationers.

A day in the life

Check these out because it looks like art instead of food. Geometric shapes: Maki sushi rolls are delicious. I think they're edible sculptures and the plate is a canvas. Yummy with wasabi and soy sauce. Visit Tokyo simetime to get the full experience. I'm going back. Loved every minute of it.

Diet soda and crushed ice

Diet soda is a naughty friend of mine. I drink it with crushed ice all the time. It's not good for me. Actually, I've heard that consuming brown drinks like soda and coffee is not necessarily good for my kidneys. I keep telling myself that I'll quit cold turkey and just drink water. It's not going to happen anytime soon.

Coming from where

There won’t always be blogs. That’s what I’m thinking as I get this one started. Do you remember when everyone needed just a web page? We all had guestbooks for visitors to leave behind their testimonials. It was right around the late nineties. I remember geocities had cyber- neighborhoods with colorful houses. Hmmph. Time has flown by faster than I anticipated.

Oh dear. That was ages ago. Moving forward. I’m actually going to be traveling in the very near future. I won’t go into too much detail. I’m looking to see family and swim in the Pacific Ocean. It’s going to be a blast.
